Would you like to be a Governor of your child’s school?   As you may know, a number of places on the Governing Bodies of Sheffield schools are reserved for parents.   We have one vacancy for a Parent Governor.

Milk Orders 3 January - 31 March 2006

We are asking parents/carers to order milk for the next term by December 16th 2005. The school can then establish with the dairy how many children will be requiring milk from the beginning of the term and help the teachers by providing an advance list of these children.

Class Arrangements for September 05

Dear Parents / Carers,

After careful consideration it has been decided to mix class groups for Y3 and Y4 for next year. This is being undertaken for a range of reasons. The most important reason is to redress any imbalances that have developed as children leave or join the school and as children change and develop. Our aim is that each of the three classes in the year group has a reasonable mix of ability, gender, behaviour and ethnicity. Another reason for mixing is to broaden the range of children with whom pupils interact, at least once during their time in junior school. There is no hard and fast pattern for class mixing. It takes place as and when the need arises.

This is a very complex task and teachers spend considerable time to aim to achieve the best balance
