Spring Book Fair

Spring_08_bookfair1Thank you to everyone for all your support for the School's Spring Book Fair. It is great to see you enthusiastic about books and deciding what book you want.

Sales from the Book Fairs help to raise funds for the school's learning resources. The Book Fair raised £231.00 which means we can buy more books to update our selections for children.

Enjoy your books!

Spring into the Book Fair

Thank you to everyone for all your support for the school’s Spring Book Fair during March 2007. The Book Fair was held as part of a series of events to celebrate World Book Day and your enthusiasm for books was a treat to see.

The school receives a proportion of each book sold to buy more books for the school. The total amount from this Book Fair to buy books for the school came to over £500.  This makes a fantastic contribution to the school’s learning resources and gives a chance to update and buy some new titles for the school.

HBJ says 'No' to bullying

20061124_0017_3

We marked Anti-Bullying Week with a variety of activities to raise awareness of the problem of bullying and how to deal with it.

The week culminated in a special whole-school assembly with poems, drama and music on the theme of bullying. Our very own band Crazed Conditionz, fresh from their performance in front of the Lord Mayor, then performed their anti-bullying anthem Stop! for the school.

After assembly all pupils, dressed in blue for the occasion, formed a circle around the school with specially made wristbands.

Thank you so much for your fantastic response and support for the Book Fair over the last few days. This was the most successful fair for a number of years. It was great to see the thrill of choosing from the range of titles offered. We reached the target to make sure that sixty percent of the sales go to the school. More than £1200 was spent which means we will get over £720 to spend on books for the school!
