Annual General Meeting

Chairs Report

Ally gave her final report:

Main events of the year have been:

Christmas Fair‑ main fund‑raiser

Easter Fair‑ bonnets, gardens, egg, flowers & cakes (after school)

Garden Party‑ children's games, strawberries& cream (Saturday afternoon)

Other events over the year(s) have included:

Parent's evenings ‑ Tea and coffee, recruit volunteers

Discos

Bags to school

Y6 leavers Party

Cake sales

Social evenings‑ Pop Quiz, Ceilidh, Race Night

None of the events above is set in stone but the funds raised have made a significant contribution to the development of the school.

Election of new committee

Chair: Netti South

Secretary: Job to be shared by Susan Steiner Gardner and Cathy Spencer

Treasurer: Jo Gleig and Claire Nice to continue

Please come and support the new committee. We need your help!

It was suggested that a publicity manager may be a good idea.

Parents evening 10th & 12th October. Sophie and Claire offered to help with teas and coffees on the 10th and Denise and Jo on the 12th. It was suggested that the teas and coffees should be upstairs this year.

Please parents come and see us. We need your help to run the HSA and support our fund-raising events.

Christmas Fair 25th November 2006

Our main fund‑raising event. We need to start collecting donations for this event.

Lost Property

Discussed using the 'bags for schools' scheme to get rid of all the lost property. Ally urged parents to label their clothes. A jumble sale of the lost property was suggested.

Other Business

Jill Hallsworth mentioned that the school would be 100 next year and that and that there would be a meeting on 16th October 4pm to begin to plan for the celebrations for this. Please come along. The Garden party next year (16th June) will be the main event and the Mayor has already been invited.
